365 Days Photography Challenge: Eighth Week.
Convening Creativity: Aberdeen Art Gallery as a Meeting Spot
The (working) week started with a promising meeting for the new project that I had been contemplating for some time, and hopefully, you will see it in the near future. My favourite places to be and have meetings are museums, art galleries, and bookshops; therefore, this meeting was held at the Aberdeen Art Gallery. I seized the opportunity of being there to take the first photo of that week, Day 50. I like the visual illusion of having a big eye with its eyelashes at the top of the image.
The next day, the clouds appeared very low, and I captured this image of my favourite tree against the dramatic expanse of the open sky. I used a wide-angle lens to emphasize the effect.
On day 52, I decided to put my words into action and finally update my profile photo. I truly believe that we need to refresh our professional photo yearly to represent who we are now. I am planning to take more photos to update the profile throughout the seasons.
Thursday was a very busy day, and I hurriedly walked to capture the picture for this challenge. I had this composition in mind from previous walks. Usually, I mentally capture snapshots of my surroundings at any time. Do you do the same, or you are normal?
The light last Friday at sunrise was gorgeous, which enabled me to complete the challenge photo early in the day.
Yesterday, I wanted to be more playful and creative. I enjoy experimenting with artificial lights and AI. Quentin Tarantino came to mind when I remembered that I had a cat mask from Venice. Since Tarantino loves comics, I envisioned this character with a touch of violence. Using Photoshop and AI, I transformed a light wand into a sword for this image.
Today, late at night, I was still practicing techniques with artificial lights. I should have put on make-up, but I was tired after training with weights. 🙈
I should try again with colour and better preparation. Anyway, it went well on the first day of trying it.
