Many of my clients are accomplished professionals who seek high-quality images to match the demands of their careers, and this session was no exception.

After advancing her career within the NHS and even receiving recognition for her work from Prince William at Buckingham Palace, it was time to update Therese’s professional profile, which I had photographed nearly 10 years ago. This was particularly important as she is also an international speaker in her field of expertise.

We scheduled her headshot session for the 13th of August. Everything was well-prepared: we had already discussed her desired outfits, and the backdrops were carefully selected to complement them. The process was unfolding seamlessly until nature decided to intervene.

Despite my efforts to ensure everything runs smoothly, weather is one factor I can’t control. Dark clouds and strong winds swept over Aberdeenshire, and the light became unbelievably dim. Fortunately, I rely primarily on artificial lighting to maintain consistency, and I had already loaded all my equipment into my car, keeping an eye on the evolving weather conditions.

She called to check if I was okay amidst the heavy rain. At that moment, visibility was poor, and the roads were challenging due to the downpour. I drove cautiously, and by the time I reached our destination, the rain had almost stopped, but the light remained low. I quickly set up my backdrops and lighting, and we proceeded with a fantastic headshot session.

We captured professional portraits with various outfits and backdrops tailored to her needs, particularly for the nine speaking engagements she had lined up—some at international venues.
