100 Images of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire
During the fifteenth week of my photography journey, I continued my course on Social Media Curation, diving deeper into the world of digital content creation and audience engagement. Alongside this, I had the pleasure of photographing the talented model, Charis, whose confidence and grace added a beautiful dimension to our session.
As part of this week’s challenge, I captured self-portraits and photographed the blooms during the Spring season. I adore gardens, so this marks a new path in my photography journey.
Day 98: Photo of Bennachie Mountain - Aberdeenshire in Pictures.
On the 98th day of my journey, I captured the beautiful landscape of Bennachie Mountain. I truly enjoyed the tranquillity and serenity found in nature.
Day 99: Scottish garden in pictures.
Despite the persistent rain throughout the day, a brief respite in the evening allowed me to capture a moment of beauty in my own garden. Focusing on the colourful flowers that brightened up the scene. Juggling my time between capturing nature’s beauty and working on my website, I made the most of the moment, finding inspiration even during a busy day.
Day 100: Aberdeen and Aberdeen 100 days in pictures.
What a milestone! To mark this special occasion, I got creative with my setup. Using my softbox to form the number one and my two reflectors as the zeros, I composed a series of images capturing the essence of reaching the triple digits in my photography journey. It was a fun and celebratory moment, reminding me of how far I’ve come and the creativity that fuels my passion for photography.
Day 101: The beauty of nature in Scotland.
Despite a busy day filled with a lengthy photoshoot with Charis, I couldn’t resist capturing the beauty of a field adorned with daffodils during my evening walk. Drawn to the unique contrast of the orange coronas against the white petals.
Day 102: Portrait Photography Session in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
As the evening approached, I embarked on the challenging yet rewarding task of capturing a self-portrait. Being a portrait photographer, I understand the complexities involved in creating compelling portraits. Unlike other types of photography, portrait sessions require meticulous planning, from selecting the right outfit to setting up the perfect lighting and crafting poses that convey the desired message. Despite the time and effort required, I try to showcase my work and demonstrate the artistry behind each portrait. Incorporating self-portraits into my 365-day journey allows me to share both the process and the product of my craft with my audience, offering insight into the behind-the-scenes of portrait photography.
Day 103: Beautiful Gardens in Aberdeenshire.
Enjoying in the Scottish sunshine, I headed to Crathes Castle to photograph its beautiful garden. As I walked among the trees, I appreciated that they labelled some of the different species. This helped me expand my knowledge while enjoying nature’s beauty.
Day 104: Red Squirrel in Aberdeenshire.
For the last photo of these 7 days, I went for a walk to see what I could capture. I had an idea in mind which I couldn’t materialize as my “old friend” appeared, and that changed everything. I can’t resist publishing a photo of this cute squirrel.
