Aberdeen Photographer - 366 Photography Challenge – Week Fifty / by Leticia Gaidon Bradford

Day 335: Christmas is Coming

On Monday, I took a vignette of our Christmas tree due to bad weather, which made it difficult to take outdoor photos. I set up the camera on a tripod and used an aperture around F16 to achieve the star effect in the lights. Naturally, I had to significantly reduce the shutter speed, which is why I used a tripod to prevent any camera movement while capturing the image.

Day 336: Blue and Grey Day in Aberdeenshire

This day felt particularly cold, as the high humidity made the low temperatures more biting. After spending hours trying to edit a reel (which ended up requiring multiple re-recordings), I decided to go for a walk. The cold was too much for me, so I shortened my usual route and returned with this image. I was done for the day!

Day 337: Networking Event with Women Connect - Aberdeen

I volunteered to take photos for a Women Connect Aberdeen event. I really like this group of ladies, and whenever my schedule allows, I join them and document the moments shared through my lens.

Day 338: Succulent in Bloom

Sometimes bad weather aligns with a busy day at work, and by the time I’m free to take a photo, it’s already raining. On this occasion, I took the opportunity to photograph the succulent my daughter bought for me with her savings. She is such a thoughtful girl!

Day 339: Moody Day

I managed to go outside but found myself running out of inspiration for new images. The texture of the dry leaves still clinging to this bush caught my attention and became the perfect subject to represent the dark and cold day.

Day 340.

Day 340: Pink Gin

Today, the rain was horizontal! Strong winds and rain made it impossible to go outside, so my last resort was to photograph a souvenir from the Women Connect event. At least the mission to create a daily image was accomplished.

Day 341: My Birthday

Today is my birthday, and I’m going out to a steakhouse with my family, as any good lady raised in Argentina would. Here is the photo for today, marking a very special occasion for me.
