My style of work is giving time and dedication to my clients. Therefore, when Danielle contacted me looking for someone to take photos for his website, I organised a meeting to know more about him and his business.
There are people that prefer zoom meetings and others, like Daniele, resonate more with in person encounters. Knowing you and your ideas it is indispensable for me. I don’t work with a client who doesn’t plan the session and just wish to have good luck with the final product. I was glad to find out that Danielle is passionate for his business and work so hard, that is my kind of people.
Daniele is from Venezuela and he is changing professions. He had a successful career as a chef working in many countries and after studying web design and digital marketing he is launching his business in that field.
After knowing each other and exchanged ideas about how to approach the images, he decided in the spot that I was the correct person to do the job.
We had subsequent meetings by zoom to agree the mood for the photos and wardrobe (I work with the existing client’s wardrobe and add an extra item if it is necessary). We went for shopping to add one look that I thought it would work perfectly with him, the classic turtleneck.
The session was very productive, we were shooting around different locations in Aberdeen City. I insisted about having a photo of him with a lot of glass offices, as his clients are companies, so he was patient when I was saying: “Nop, it is not what I want. Let’s keep looking and trying to create that vision”. That photo was one of the keepers, of course.
Although we were tired, I have one last idea in mind. I wanted to express visually his concept of “building” “solid and effective” webpages in the World Wide Web. I kept thinking over: “A World Wide Web, but a strong web!”.
Days before our session, I was searching for locations for the photo shoot. I saw a structure which triggered that concept of the Word Wide Web. So, at the end of the photoshoot, I told Daniele that I have an image in mind and the location is very strange, but he must trust in my craziness (yes, I said it like that).
We arrived at the place, and he just said: ooookkkayyy…I still remember the tone of his voice and make me laugh. He was right! Only if you were inside my head, you could see what I imagined. I continue: “Daniele, we need to keep walking, it is in the centre where the light falls. It is going to be dramatic, strong, and masculine. The metal beams are the symbol of construction, the construction that you do with the website and how they crossed they represent the world wide web as well; the impact of the photo is about the angle, and you have to see all of these in black and white”. After observing the place, he said that I kind of understand what I imagine. I indicated where he should stand and the pose to make. I took some photos, showed him one image and I reminded him, “imagine this edited in black and white”. That was his favourite and main photo for his web page! He absolutely loved it.
He is finishing his website for the market in Panama. However, you can have a look and contact him for his services: https://www.danielebiasetti.com/
Daniele speaks English and Spanish.
What is the post for December? Something that I really want to shoot more, amazing real women over 40’s.
Until December, then. Bye.
