Another week of my 366 photography challenge has flown by, and I’ve had quite the adventure—from battling the elements during a headshot session to learning about web traffic cannibalization (yes, really).
Day 223: The Gorgeous Sunset at Westhill – Aberdeenshire
Today, I had a headshot session in the afternoon when a very strong storm started. The sky was so dark! Fortunately, I used my artificial lights and managed to keep everything under control. Everything went well, and when I got back home, the sunset was incredible. I not only have a photo to prove it, but I also filmed it.
Day 224: Daylilies
The first time I encountered this flower was during the pandemic. The house we rented when we returned from Ghana had them in the garden. Those daylilies were fragrant and yellow. As I prefer deeper colours in my garden, I chose these ones; however, they have no aroma. I’m thinking of buying those yellow ones!
Day 225: Wild Countryside Flowers in Black and White
It was a busy day. I was working, sorting photos, editing images, and training with weights for almost three hours. Then I cooked roasted chicken and veggies, but by the end of the day, I didn’t have the energy for my walking routine. After all, I’m human, and my energy has its limits (sometimes).
Day 226: Sunset with the Moon
After an intense training day, I make it a point never to skip my walk the following day—otherwise, my body starts to protest. This gentle activity helps ease my muscles, and on this particular walk, I spotted a roe deer. But what really caught my eye was the moon; it was simply too stunning to ignore, so I finally took a photo of it after a long while.
Day 227: Sunset on Bennachie
Today was another busy day, with training included. It’s unbelievable how a short holiday break can greatly impact getting back into the routine. I know my training is tough, and I’m almost 50 years old. So, this is a reminder that maybe I should do something lighter but keep going on my next holiday. It’s not as easy as it used to be.
Day 228: Crows in Black and White
One of my weekly routines is reading and learning new skills—after all, "mens sana in corpore sano" (a healthy mind in a healthy body). This week, I explore into the world of canonical tags and how to prevent traffic cannibalization, a concept I had been blissfully unaware of until now. It seems I’ve just added yet another item to my ever-growing to-do list. Wonderful, isn’t it?
Day 229: Golden Hour
The day seemed straightforward: a trip to Inverness for a family gathering. However, it took an unexpected turn when one of our family members ended up in A&E. Fortunately, she’s in good hands and under observation. After returning to Aberdeen, I went for a much-needed walk to clear my head. The light was so beautiful that I decided to capture it in this moment.
This week was a blend of beauty, busyness, and learning—each day offering something unique. And yes, while I may be dealing with web traffic cannibalization, at least I can say I’m learning something new!
