I captured dark and moody photographs during this week due to the bad weather—it’s become a characteristic of my style, as you’re likely aware. I have a inclination for portraying nature in black and white, perhaps drawing inspiration from Ansel Adams’ work. Trees and clouds frequently feature in my photographs.
The strong wind was particularly annoying this week. While I can endure the cold, the wind painfully stung my hands. Unfortunately, I can’t operate my camera while wearing gloves.
On a positive note, the rain prompted me to take self-portraits in my studio. I seized the opportunity to experiment with new lighting setups and explore fresh poses.
Also, with the new changes at the Aberdeen Art Gallery, this place has become one of my favourite stops for wandering around, especially when I need to make time or when there are poor weather conditions.
Thankfully, signs of spring are emerging—the bulbs are beginning to bloom. This promises to introduce new imagery to my blog.
