Every year, on 18th May, the world comes together to celebrate International Museum Day. This is a topic close to my heart as I love to visit museums when I go on holiday but also locally. Some people go to religious buildings; I go to forests and museums. For that reason, on this occasion, I would like to highlight the invaluable contributions of museums to society, recognising them as essential institutions that preserve our past, inspire creativity, and provide a sanctuary for intellectual and emotional growth.
